Massage therapy is defined as the assessment of the soft tissues and joints of the body and the treatment or prevention of physical dysfunction and pain of soft tissues and joints by manipulation to develop, maintain, rehabilitate or augment physical function and/or relieve pain.

Some benefits of equine massage therapy include; relaxing or stimulating the nervous system and muscles, improving circulation, metabolism & respiration, decreasing blood pressure, swelling & congestion, eliminating toxins, reliving pain, increasing mobility, flexibility & pliability and providing general benefits of touch.

Massage therapy has profound effects on the muscular, nervous, circulatory and respiratory systems. It can also effect the skeletal, endocrine, eliminatory, digestive and reproductive systems as well.

Lisa incorporates Swedish massage manipulations, range of motion assessment, stretching, remedial exercises, hydrotherapy & specialized techniques within her session.
